Hunter Scully is a motion designer and video artist with a background in projection mapping and glitch art. He has been working at Colgate-Palmolive as a motion designer creating animations for a variety of internal and external uses since 2019. Hunter graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design as cum laude and recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Academic Achievement award for the School of Digital Media. Hunter lives in the New York metropolitan area.
My work explores the relationship between color, chemistry, and technology with influences from liquid light art, a technique found in avant-garde theater performances from the 60's and 70's. The usage of physical materials merged with the digitization allows for a unique combination when the final results are destructed with glitch art techniques. Lastly, my work is often projected creating a unique viewing experience to create a more motion filled world.
